Homestay Cancellation Policy

Guest Cancellations

You may cancel a booking at any time before arrival. However, please note:

• The booking fee paid at the time of reservation is non-refundable under the terms and conditions agreed upon at booking.

• In exceptional circumstances, Homestay.com may consider refunding the booking fee. This is entirely at our discretion.

• Cancellation requests are made via email.

• If you’ve booked with a host using our Deposit Payment option, you’ll have paid 25% of the booking price plus the booking fee. To receive a refund of the 25% deposit, you must cancel at least 7 full days before arrival.

  • If cancelled less than 7 days before arrival, this deposit is transferred to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival.
    
    

Long-Term Bookings & Amendments

If you wish to change a long-term booking, first confirm changes with your host. Then contact Homestay.com to update your booking.

You may cancel a long-term booking by:

• Logging into your account and canceling it under the "Bookings" section

• Contacting your host through the message system

• Again, booking fees are non-refundable under our terms and conditions.

Shortening Your Stay.

If you want to shorten your stay, it’s up to the host’s discretion whether they refund unused days. The booking fee remains non-refundable.

If Your Host Cancels

If your host cancels your booking:

• Homestay.com will refund your booking fee in full.

• We will help you find a suitable alternative accommodation.

• If the host cancels on your behalf, the booking fee is not refundable, per the terms you agreed to on booking.
  
  

Refund Considerations After Check-In

If an issue arises after check-in, you must contact Homestay Technologies Limited within 48 hours of arrival for us to consider a refund. If you fail to contact us within that time, a refund will not be considered.

Deposit Payment Option

For bookings made with the Deposit Payment option (available with select hosts):

• You must pay 25% of the booking cost and the booking fee to confirm your stay

• Cancellation must occur at least seven full days prior to arrival for the 25% to be refunded.

• If cancelled later, this deposit is sent to the host two business days after your scheduled arrival.

• The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.

The above cancellation policy is a synopsis of the properties cancellation policy.  There could be few changes incorporated from time to time, hence we recommend you to review the full Accommodation Contract for a comprehensive understanding of their cancellation policies.

On arrival or in advance as defined by the individual host in their host profile, if no mention of payment in the profile it is assumed the student will pay the host directly  on arrival.
