I have lived in CityBlock for 3 years now. The first year, I lived in the Marton Street building and I lived in the Penny Street building for the other 2 years. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to make me feel at home! Any maintenance issue was fixed within a few hours and any general issues I had were very quickly sorted. The flats and studios are really well furnished and have everything you need. The location is also ideal. I would definitely highly recommend CityBlock to anyone looking for both studios and shared flats in town!

Staff are brilliant, always helpful and friendly. The studio flat was spacious and comfortable - honestly one of the best student accommodations I've seen. There's a sainsbury local across the street and the town center is close too. Really loved going for walks along the canal too since cityblock is right beside it. The weekly cleanings were great too - really helped me keep things tidy and neat.

I stayed in CityBlock Penny Street for 3 months in 2022 and very much enjoyed my time there. It’s very close to the town centre and the staff is friendly. It’s completely furnished and allows for flexible dates to stay (per week). It was exactly what I was looking for, I had no problems there. The room itself is very cosy, with a bed embedded in the surrounding furniture and a bathroom in the room. The kitchen/living room is big and include utensils, pans, etc. (enough for everyone, there is also 2 of every machine/appliance, including dishwasher; no coffee machine though). The living room has a big tv and comfortable sofas. It’s very sunny because there’s also a balcony along the living room and a terrace in the middle of the building. The dryers and washing machines are very conveniently situated on the ground floor. Cleaning ladies come every Wednesday to your room and every Sunday to the kitchen/living room. There is also heating connected to movement detector. I booked my room without much time in advance, but the staff always answered very quickly. You have also an online platform to submit any problem and they fixed it within a week every time I asked for anything. Just be aware that you have to pay in advance and buy bed linen, and you will be just fine there ?

CityBlock has the best rooms and facilities for students. Rooms, kitchen and living area are all modern and clean. It has a great location right in the heart of the center, and the staff are very friendly and supportive. Highly recommended.

Living at CityBlock for my final year at university was one of the best decisions! The accommodation is lovely, spacious and clean, with some amazing views of Lancaster and the castle! But I think the best thing about it are the caring individuals who look after and run the block - they make you feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommend for any students and a big thank you to the team so far!!
