Allied Students – Cancellation Policy
Bookings Before August 1, 2025
14-Day Cooling-Off Period
You may cancel within 14 days of signing your tenancy by emailing the accommodation team. Cancellations within this period receive a full deposit refund.
After the 14 Days
You may cancel without penalty (with a full deposit refund) if:
Your UK visa has been refused.
You fail to meet university entry requirements.
You fail the required English course.
You defer your university place.
Send official proof from your university, UCAS, or visa authority within 5 days of receiving the decision.
Government Travel Restrictions
If travel restrictions prevent you from entering the UK, send written proof from your university before your tenancy’s start date. Once verified, your tenancy will be cancelled, and your deposit refunded. You may also request to defer your tenancy start date to when restrictions are lifted.
Change of Mind / Other Accommodation
If you no longer wish to move in after your contract start date, you must find a replacement student tenant for the remaining term.
Once approved and the new tenant signs, you’ll be released from your contract.
Your deposit will be refunded only if all fees are paid and no damage exists.
Bookings After August 1, 2025
The cooling-off period is reduced to 48 hours from booking.
Cancellations within 48 hours receive a full deposit refund; cancellations after 48 hours may result in loss of deposit depending on circumstances.
Illness
If you leave due to illness, email the accommodation team with medical proof.
If a release is granted, your deposit will be refunded (subject to no damages or arrears).
If not, you must find a replacement tenant for the remaining term.
