1. CS England Policy

Cancellation After Paying Advance Rent

A. Non-Refundable Amount

• Once you have:

  • Paid your Advance Rent, and

  • Been allocated a room,
     then, if you choose to cancel, the non-refundable amount will be:

  • The lesser of:

    • The Advance Rent you paid, or

    • An amount equivalent to one week’s Licence Fee.
      
      

B. After Licence Agreement is Accepted

• If the Licence Agreement has been accepted by both you and the provider:

  • You will be bound by its terms until a replacement licensee is found.

  • You remain liable for rent and obligations under the agreement during this time.

2. CS Scotland Policy

A. Before the Licence Period Begins

• If you cancel after paying the Advance Rent and before the start of the licence period:

  • You will be entitled to a full refund of the Advance Rent.

B. After the Licence Period Has Begun

• If you cancel after the licence period has started:

  • You will be held to the terms of your licence agreement, and

  • No refund will be provided unless otherwise stated in the agreement.

3. SC England Policy

1. Cancellation After Paying Advance Rent

• If you cancel after paying the Advance Rent and have been allocated a room:

  • An amount equal to the lesser of:

    • (i) the Advance Rent, or

    • (ii) one week’s Licence Fee

 will be non-refundable.

2. Licence Agreement Accepted

• If the licence agreement has been accepted by both parties and you later wish to cancel:

  • You will be held to the terms of the licence agreement until a replacement licensee is found.

4. SC Scotland Policy

1. Cancellation Before Licence Start Date

• If you cancel after paying the Advance Rent and have been allocated a room, but do so before the start of the licence period, you will be entitled to a full refund of the Advance Rent.

2. Cancellation After Licence Start Date

• If you cancel after the licence period has started, you will be held to the terms of your licence agreement.

CS Policy – No Visa No Pay / No Place No Pay (2024/25 Academic Year)

If you meet any of the conditions below, you may cancel your booking and receive a full refund of your Advance Rent and any rent paid:

1. No Visa No Pay
 If your UK student visa application is refused:

• Send a copy of the visa refusal letter

• Within 72 hours of receiving the decision

• Valid until 1 August 2024

2. No Place No Pay
 If you do not meet the academic conditions of your university offer:

• Send either your official university rejection letter or exam results confirming you didn’t meet the entry criteria

• Within 72 hours of receiving the documents

• Valid until 1 September 2024

3. How to Submit
Send your cancellation request and supporting documents to the email address of the scheme you booked with.

If you do not provide the required documentation within 72 hours, a cancellation fee will apply. The fee will be the lesser of:

• Your Advance Rent payment, or

• One week’s Licence Fee

4. Covered Properties
This policy applies to bookings at the following locations:

• Huddersfield: Saw Mill, Snow Island, Firth Point

• Leeds: Asa Briggs House

• Plymouth: Discovery Heights, Central Point, Alexandra Works, St Thomas Court, St Teresa House

• Sheffield: Central Quay, Sharman Court

• Southampton: Hampton Square

5. Additional Terms
We reserve the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time.

The above cancellation policy is a synopsis of the property’s cancellation policy. There could be a few changes incorporated from time to time. Hence, we recommend you review the full Accommodation Contract for a comprehensive understanding of their cancellation policies.
